Pesticide Residue Testing

 Rectangle 3026

For 35+ years, Anresco Laboratories has been a pioneer in the development of novel methods for pesticide residue screening in foods (see: Glyphosate Testing).  The company has leveraged that expertise to become the leading cannabis laboratory for pesticide multiresidue analysis (MRA) in California and beyond.

Anresco routinely analyzes cannabis flowers, extracts, edibles, and other matrices for the 66 pesticides required by the California Department of Cannabis Control (DCC), as well as the 102 pesticides required by the Colorado Department of Health Public Health & Environment (CDPHE).  To achieve the challenging limits set forth by these regulators, it utilizes both liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) and gas chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (GC-MS/MS).

Additionally, Anresco has the ability to screen for a much larger list of compounds upon request.  Our most comprehensive cannabis pesticide screen also utilizes LC-MS/MS and GC-MS/MS via the “QuEChERS” method of extraction to analyze for ~300 different compounds at a limit of detection (LOD) of roughly 0.01ppm.  This is the same pesticide residue screen that is used by food manufacturers to evidence compliance with the USDA National Organic Program (NOP) standards.

We also offer a ‘Universal Hemp Pesticide MRA’, which is specifically designed to meet the analytical requirements of almost all state cannabis and hemp programs in the country.

For those interested in testing for a specific pesticide, Anresco has the capability to screen for:

  • PCB’s (Polychlorinated Biphenyls)
