Cannabinoid Profiling
Rectangle 3028 Cannabinoids are the naturally occurring chemical compounds found in cannabis that work together to produce varying psychoactive and non-psychoactive effects. In combination, they are known to act synergistically to form an ‘entourage effect’, providing benefits beyond what each individually would ordinarily provide.
We test for cannabinoids via two different instruments: high-performance liquid chromatography with diode-array detection (LC-DAD – applicable to most routine samples) and liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS – for when extremely low limits of detection and/or greater separation of analytes are required).
If there is ever unexpected variance between your expected cannabinoid content and our findings, we will proactively retest the sample to confirm the finding. If the variance persists and analytical error is ruled out, we’ll work with you to perform a root cause analysis.
Standard Cannabinoid Profile
Our standard cannabinoid profile for both the HPLC-DAD and LC-MS/MS consists of the following 13 cannabinoids:
